The latest film from the trio of Narayan, Ramesh Aravind and Mohan, Chatrigalu Sir Chatrigalu, directed by S Narayan, is all about full-on entertainment and is on the same lines as the previous films in the series, Kurigalu Sir Kurigalu and Kothigalu Sir Kothigalu. Its one drawback is that it is an adult comedy and the family audience may shy away from watching the film.
The story is about Rammi, Naani and Moni, three unemployed youths and their attempts to win over their respective romantic interests. Moni lures Rammi and Naani to steal a precious diamond from his house and pledges his support to them. The duo comes in disguise to Moni’s house to steal the diamond. And from then on, it is a roller coaster ride of laughter and entertainment.
Though the story has been told before, it is the screenplay that sets this one apart. It’s fast and crisp and keeps the audience in splits throughout. S Narayan, Mohan and Ramesh Aravind perform well and Sadhu Kokila and Umashri add more spice to the film.
