South Indian actress Nithya Menon, apparently, rode in the cockpit of an Air India flight from Bangalore to Hyderabad. The two pilots responsible have been suspended while the DGCA probes the violation of safety norms.
Nithya, who appeared in the Dulquar Salman-starrer Usthad Hotel, is said to have spent the one-hour flight in the observer’s seat in the cockpit. It is reserved only for personnel authorised by the DGCA. It is a passenger complaint that brought the incident to light and caused the disciplinary action against the pilots.
Nithya acts in various South Indian language films and has been signed for the upcoming Malini 22 Palayamkottai, being directed by veteran actress Sripriya.
