While artistes everywhere are expressing their sympathy for Kamal Haasan in the wake of his troubles over releasing Vishwaroopam, Telugu cinema’s big names have also extended their support to the actor-director.

Nagarjuna, it has been reported, has said, “He is a serious film-maker who would not ever do anything to hurt the sentiments of any community or disturb communal harmony. I saw a few clips from the film when I met him two months ago here in Hyderabad and I saw nothing offensive.”

Ace producer Suresh Babu said he was frustrated that the film was not being shown in TN, when it is running successfully in AP and Karnataka.  “It is the duty of the state to protect the right holder,” he added.

Popular comedian Brahmanandam said a film has to be looked at as art, no matter what it is about.
