Director Viji Thampy is now getting all set to dazzle Malayalam cine-goers with something that is really dazzling in concept. A film with the script penned by five debutantes and featuring songs penned by five lyricists and set to tune by five prominent music-directors and having a host of new faces in the cast-that’s what Viji Thampy’s forthcoming film Star Singer is reported to be.

With Suresh Gopi in the lead role, Star Singer will be a ‘musical love thriller’ featuring Vasundhara Das, Jagathy Sreekumar, Harisri Ashokan, Suraaj Venjaramoodu etc in the cast. The cast will also include a host of young faces in the age group of 16 to 24 and the makers have already started the hunt for suitable faces.

The five music directors who tune the songs for the film are Mohan Sithara, Ouseppachan, M.Jayachandran, Alex Paul and Deepak Dev while the five lyricists are Yusuf Ali Kechery, Gireesh Puthencherry, Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma, Shibu Chakravarthy and Kanesh Poonore. The film will be produced by Salim Hilltop under the banner of Hilltop Productions.
