Saiju Kurup, who made his debut as the hero of the Hariharan-directed Mayookham, couldn’t anyhow make an impact with that film. And then he did some rather insignificant roles and was cast again in the lead in Sketch, an action film that too bombed. And now, this young actor, who is again doing supporting roles, is doing the title role in Jubilee, directed by debutante G.George.
George, who had been an associate of Jayaraj, makes the film based on his own story, with the screenplay and dialogues being penned by Shatrughnan. Produced by Unity Pictures, Jubilee tells the story of a young man named Jubilee, thus named since he was born when his father was celebrating hi Golden Jubilee year, i.e., his 50th year. It’s Innocent who plays Thoma Kora, Jubilee’s father.
Jubilee also has in the cast Vijayaraghavan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Saikumar, Manoj.K.Jayan, Salim Kumar, Jaffer Idukki, Bindu Panicker, and Deepika among others. Manasa plays the heroine. Songs penned by Kaithapram have been set to tune by Shyam Dharman while cinematography is by M.J.Radhakrishnan and editing by Vijayakumar.
The film is all set to begin in Peerumedu in Kerala.
